FVHS Tutoring Sources

If your daughter or son is in need to subject specific tutoring, FVHS offers the following resources:

1- After School Academic Assistance Program (“AAAP”- formerly Homework Club):  If your son or daughter is struggling in math, science, English​, social studies or world languages, and are in need of tutoring help, stop by the new After-School Academic Assistance Program (formerly known as Homework Club) in the Media Center on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays, from 3:30 to 5:00 pm. 2- Tutor.comBaron Academic Foundation (BAF) is offering 24/7, unlimited expert tutoring in over 30 academic subjects, from algebra, calculus, statistics, chemistry, English, writing, to physics, AP classes and much more, through tutor.com  (a division of Princeton Review). 3- Student Tutors: qualified FVHS students are available for hire to tutor your son or daughter in almost any subject. Student tutors charge up to $10.00 per hour. The student and the tutor determine where, and how often they will meet. 4- Free Tutoring at Ocean View HS– tutoring in all subject, all levels is now available to all HBUHSD Students in Room 909, MondayThursday 3:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M.; Call (714) 848-0656 ext. 4957 to make an appointment. Click here for more info.

4- Special Education Homework Support Program: in Math and Science Special Ed, Mr. Yanagisawa and Mrs. Ferguson-McConnell offer homework assistance in Room 114 on Tuesday & Thursday from 7am – 7:50am and on Thursday from 2:50pm – 3:50. In English & Social Science Special Ed, Mr. Flint offers homework assistance in Room 105 on Tuesday & Thursday from 7:00am – 7:50am and on Wednesdayfrom 2:50pm – 3:50pm
